Our current collective bargaining agreement with Verizon is set to expire Saturday, August 1st, 2026. The IBEW System Council T6 along with IBEW Local 2213, IBEW Local 827 and CWA Districts 1 and 2-13 have agreed to meet with Verizon for a limited amount of time in January to explore the possibility of a contract extension. The IBEW and CWA remain focused on our members' priorities, and will provide an update on these discussions as soon as one is available. While we hope these talks prove productive, it is imperative that we continue to prepare for contract expiration by mobilizing and showing our solidarity.
